Career Opportunities
Weems Community Mental Health Center serves Region 10 of the Mississippi community mental health system. We cover and offer employment in the following counties: Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott and Smith. We employ approximately 370 full-time employees, and the administrative office is located at 1415 College Dr., Meridian, MS. We do not give out specific information on job availability.

Psychiatrist:
Requirements: M.D. Psychiatrist; board eligible; licensed in state of Mississippi
Mental Health Nurse Practitioner:
Requirements: Mississippi-licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
**Mental Health Nurse:
Requirements: Mississippi-licensed Registered Nurse
**Therapist (Children and Youth, Adult and/or A&D Services):
Requirements: Master's degree in mental health-related field
**Community Support Specialist and/or PsychoSocial Rehabilitation Program Coordinator :
Requirements: B.S./B.A. degree in mental health-related field; valid Mississippi driver's license; proof of automobile insurance
**Peer Support Specialist:
Requirements: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED); completion of Certified Peer Support Specialist Professional (CPSS) Training porvided by MS Department of Mental Health; a first-degree family member and/or individual who has self-identified as having received or is presently receiving behavioral health services and is willing to share their lived experience in combination with skills training to support peers and/or family members with similar experiences
**Direct Care Worker (Full- or Part-Time Day Treatment and/or Clubhouse):
Requirements: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED); driving record approved by Weems' insurance carrier
Clerical Positions (Appointment Secretary/Financial Clerk; Insurance Clerk; Receptionist/Switchboard Operator; Data Entry Operator; Accounts Receivable Clerk):
Requirements: High school diploma; must be computer literate; must possess good communication skills; previous medical records experience and/or general office experience preferred
